Called and asked if they could provide keys for Toyota Camry, Nelson said he could provide just keys to allow manual open, start no remote, Nelson quoted a range of price and we set a time for service. After driving 30 mins and arriving we introduced ourselves to Nelson, told him we recently spoke, he looked in a book and stated I cannot provide the key. Nelson clearly stated over the phone he could provide key, quoted price and scheduled time and then once we arrived he quickly determined he couldn't assist us.

This was a ridiculously bad customer service experience. Nelson stated he didn't realize we would be making a special trip for this service and after hearing my displeasure he muttered an apology as we were leaving. Ive had one experience with this company and Nelson and one is enough to see how inept, unethical or both they are.

Can Not say enough good things about this place. Always the best choice. I am glad a local business could be the solution and the best option! Honesty, Value, Quality Products, Helpful Professional staff All you could ever ask for in a locksmith! Going back today to get more keys made! I was almost ripped of by one of those 800 number guys but I decided I needed a local professional.

Glad I found the Pros at Dayton Lock! They identified my lock from a pic and sold me the right one at a great price! When i picked it up they had some great tips on installation which were dead on and made it perfect!

Dayton Lock is a long time business community member in my neighborhood. They know most of their customers on a first name basis, In addition, their stock positions on all inventory is excellent. Per my 2-3 interactions with them, I rate them a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend! Jon

This is a great local locksmith. They use quality products and respond right away. We've used them for several projects for both our home and business. I would highly recommend Dayton.

Chris: he's The One. I can't remember the last time I had someone come to my house right on time, cheerful, and completely on the ball. He replaced 2 unwieldy locks and reprogrammed both and suddenly I have a house that works. What a great guy. And from what he told me about Dayton, I'll always use them. Always.

After going to 6 different locksmith shops and hardware stores, these guys were the only ones able to copy a key for me and have it work! They were able to look at the key and determine that it needed a special blank that most shops do not stock, but they had 2. Both worked perfectly. Definitely where I am going for all my future key copying. Thank you!

An all-around great experience, considering the problem was a locked-from-the-inside bathroom door! Jim from the Wayne, PA office replaced the troublesome old door knob within 2 hours of my phone call. Not only that, but he shot a little WD-40 into my front door lockset, too. And gave me very helpful feedback on which electronic lock to consider. Really a value-added afternoon.

I have to say that Dayton Lock is one of the best lock and safe companies around. When it comes to customer service, Kevin went overboard and helped me out. I couldn't decide on what type of safe to purchase, But Kevin and the team help me find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again guys.

Excellent company to work with. Had an issue with one of my keys that due to a crack was not copying correctly. I came back about three times in the matter of 45 min as the first two copies did not work. However, eventually the situation was handled on the third time and they were very helpful and patient throughout the whole process. Excellent customer service and very reasonable price paid, all in all about $12 for 6 keys.

I came in with my old, what i thought was a broken door knob expecting to have to buy a new one, the owner said its a very good 60yr old $200 door knob. He checked it out and said its ok, just spray some WD-40 and turn knob a few times to get lubricated and he thought it might last another 60yrs: He was right, doorknob works great now. I was impressed that he offered free advise instead of just trying to sell me a new door knob. I've been using these guys for years for spare keys, locks. They have always offered great service along with friendly knowledgable employees. Thanks for your help, guys!

They have made my keys for our 2011 Honda Odyssey and they work great! Saved me about $125. What some people don't realize is that modern keys have chips in them, so they have to be programmed. I ordered the remote fob from the internet and had the key itself cut by Dayton. There are YouTube do-it-yourself videos on how to program the keys, but I had to be pretty patient and meticulous.

Unfortunately Dayton Lock Company has deteriorated over the years regarding quality of service and personnel. Mike came to my property, and forgot a part that had been under discussion for a week. He claimed nobody told him about it. He also created a hostile work environment and was disrespectful to the owner. He had no problems charging for his incomplete work and lied about products which was atrocious. His work was poor quality and he did not complete the job. Do not recommend this company anymore. They should go out of business.

I have been using Dayton Lock for a long time. They are always professional and very friendly. I Will never use any other locksmith. The people in the store are great and always take the time to help. The service guys are great as well. Mike has been to my house many times and is always professional and tidy. Best locksmith company on the main line. PERIOD.

I read an article in the N.Y. Times about how difficult it was to find local locksmiths because some large companies purchase domains, manipulate Internet search results, and subcontract to "fly by night" locksmiths. Knowing that, I asked around for a good local locksmith. I frequently heard the name "Dayton" so I travelled a few extra miles to the shop.

This was not a "fly by night" operation, they have been in business for decades. I had to duplicate a key, but it was not as easy as placing it in a machine to be duplicated. To keep it simple, I'll say the key was "damaged." The attitude of the employee who took care of me was worth the price of service. Rather than blame me for the key I brought him, he tried to help.

The customer service was exceeded only by the skill of the staff. Again, to keep it simple, I'll just say they had to do some measurements with a micrometer, and they succeeded, and produced a duplicate that worked. The price was what you might expect to pay for a skilled locksmith, but not too high, and worth every penny. It appears from the breadth of the blanks they stock, they can produce a duplicate of nearly any key and I would rely on their advice in purchasing some of the locks and safes they sell.
