This school was a life changing experience for me. Highly suggest this school for any one looking to start a new career. This school provided me with accurate knowledge & resources that help me start a successful mobile locksmith business that is now 2 years old. You really can't go wrong when you learn from the best of the best! Thank you Corey & Teresa for providing such a solid institution for one of the most respected trades in the world! I signed up for the 10-week professional day class in June-Sept 2021 and it was my better gut instinct. I got hired right after graduation as a shop locksmith in Canada and was able to negotiate a higher wage for myself due the training I received from CIL. Since then, I've also had offers from other companies. The course is a great primer for anyone looking to enter a trade with a very healthy demand and few avenues for initiation.

I attended California Institute of Locksmithing 2020. Everything I learned wasn't put to waste. I purchased machines, keys, locks, and picks. Definitely would recommend this school if you are serious about transitioning or starting. This school is a gem. Not many would say "hey I want to learn about locks and doors". I'm going to continue my education and enhance my skills with everything Corey and his team have to offer. Everyone there is hands on amazing. Walther Ortega has a thorough background when it comes to picking locks and coding. Overall A+ school.

I am so glad I found this school! For me, the best part is the fun and welcoming lab/classroom environment. The classes are all hands on, and they give you as much individual attention as you need to progress through each topic--with full access to any equipment and tools you need and plenty of time to work on anything you want to focus on. But the class includes all the tools you'll need. Also, Corey is such a genuine and helpful teacher.
He is always willing to help his students over text any time, even after graduating. There's always previous students returning to the lab. Corey even helps you with your own key machines and repairs them for free (if you supply the parts). It truly is an amazing community. Its a few hours away for me, but others come from much further. I know of one who came from Hawaii to attend. Regardless of distance This is where you want to go! They also offer online classes but I haven't tried them :)

What a great school to attend, the best investment one can make for yourself. This school sets you up to be successful, as it teaches you all the aspects of the trade and best of all is the help never ends with a simple email to (Corey) whose the teacher/instructor of the class even after you have graduated, what a great benefit to have if you run into stuff you havent seen yet.
This school has already paid for itself many times and has gotten me a job in the trade within a few weeks after graduation. In the end all I can say is thanks Corey! Oh almost forgot all the staff there is great and very helpful as well (Teresa, Harrison, Dave, and Roy).

I took the locksmithing course at California Institute of Locksmithing a couple months back, it has been one of the greatest things I've ever done for myself. Corey, Walter, and Theresa we're all very helpful and very informative. This course taught me everything I needed to know to get out there and give it a go, one of the greatest things about it is having a point of contact or lifeline I can help you out whenever you need it.
Plus once you've taken the course you can always go back and retake it and pick up new things at no extra cost. This place rocks! It's well worth the money and the investment in yourself! Thanks CIL!

Cannot properly express how fantastic this school is words, the teachers are overflowing with a vast wealth of knowledge and have the ability to share massive amounts of information in an easy to understand and comprehendible manner. The support system corey provides for all of his students years after they graduate is truly one of a kind in any industry. if you can i highly recommend attending if your interested in the field you will not regret it, you will leave confident in your skills and fully proficient to be a knowledgeable worker in the field, i would give 6 stars if possible truly can't recommend more highly. if your planning on traveling across country or even internationally for this trade this is hands down the place to go

The best career decision I made. If you are genuinely interested in locksmithing and are willing to work to make it happen, this school will teach you everything you need to know to start working in the field. Corey takes his students on real jobs for field experience and guided you through the classroom to help you get it right first. He is always supportive, but realistic with you as well.
He won't tell you just what you want to hear, but will never make you feel like you aren't "cut out" for the career. As it stands, I graduate this week and have a job interview lined up for a locksmith shop. Alumni students are given constant access and resources to refine their skills from the school, including job placement assistance, an email line for jobs you get stuck on, the freedom to come back and use the machines or retake classes at no charge, and referrals for employers.
Of course, this is all access for students who have completed the course. In addition, the school covers the cost for the licensing process so that you will be legally able to work as a locksmith. On top of the instruction in the actual career, he teaches the laws you need to know. If you ever hear somebody talk you out of it, insisting school in the field is a waste of time and money, don't listen to them.
Most places won't hire somebody without experience, and yet nearly every place in my area I've talked to about schooling has highly recommended this one, insisting the graduates they've employed from this school have exceeded their expectations. Remember, this is an investment. As long as you put forth the required effort to make it happen, it will happen.
