We have been beyond thrilled with Umbrella Security Systems. I'd rate them higher than 5 stars if I could. We're a 40,000 sq. ft. weightlifting gym in the East Lakeview area of Chicago, spanning 3 floors. When they came out to see the place, they really listened to what we were looking for, and recommended a combo of fish-eye cameras and fixed ones in key areas throughout our gym. We ended up getting a total of 9 cameras! It's honestly been a game-changer for us. I can't imagine not having the ability we have now, to see throughout our gym, from wherever we are, through their app. What I love too is how accessible the team is. We had an incident a while back - that thankfully turned out to be a false alarm - but I called Umbrella and they came out right away to help. They showed us how to roll the footage back and save it into a clip, which we've since been able to do when we've needed to examine more closely what took place on a specific day & time. We're actually adding 3 more cameras soon, which is what they recommended initially but I wanted to go slow (and they were not pushy w/me which I greatly appreciate). This was an enormous step & quite an investment but I am so glad we did it. They are well worth the $.

I work for a nonprofit organization and we have an older Keyscan access control system that almost no one was willing to service. Finding Umbrella Security Systems has truly been a lifesaver for us.
Their technician Zach has been out to our site several times and he is outstanding. Hes extremely knowledgeable, honest, and fast most issues are diagnosed and fixed in under 30 minutes. He could easily have charged us more for some of the problems weve had, but instead hes always upfront and fair.
Even when Ive reached out at the last minute with a potential emergency, their scheduling team has always found a way to fit us in. The level of honesty, responsiveness, and professionalism from Zach and the whole Umbrella team has been excellent.

I hired Umbrella Security to upgrade and replace the door access system and to upgrade our camera surveillance system for my Joliet law firm. They were great! Our new security system is both high-tech (fob badges, RFID mobile phone access, keypad access) and user-friendly. The company's president, Thomas, understands the needs of small business owners and what is important to them. I am the manager of a 650-unit condominium property located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In the process of researching touchless access control systems, I contacted OpenPath for more information and was referred to Umbrella Technologies and its Founder/COO Thomas Carnevale. I found Umbrella Technologies initial presentation to be both compelling and enlightening, and after further research, the Board of Directors signed a contract for the installation of the access control system and video monitoring equipment. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of the installation, both in terms of the execution of the install, the functionality of the equipment and the ease of setup/operation. There were no surprises and no delays, all elements work exactly as presented and promised during our due diligence. I anticipated some level of problems to arise during the rollout to homeowners and was pleasantly surprised to experience very few concerns. Those we did experience were primarily related to setting up access schedules for a clubhouse, two swimming pool facilities and pickleball/tennis court facilities. We have not received any complaints, even from our most skeptical owners. I am posting an unreserved recommendation regarding the OpenPath touchless access control system and Umbrella Technologies.
